Pedestrian Summit: Celebrating Ogden Cities efforts for Active Transportation

  • 2415 Washington Boulevard Ogden, UT, 84401 United States (map)

This walk will occur after Utah's first Pedestrian Summit (free registration) hosted by UDOT and FHWA. The route will be starting at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center, go down 25th Historic street, down Wall Ave, to the promenade, through Kiesel Dr, and end at the conference center. The Jane Jacobs walk will work in conjunction with the summit to show the attendees and help them experience the topics that were spoken about in the summit, to celebrate the wonderful things Ogden City has been working on to improve the walkability for pedestrians, as well as where they can improve, what other cities have done that can be applied to their city, and what other cities can learn from Ogden.

The summit was formed to serve as an opportunity for design, health, and safety, officials and advocates to share experiences, opportunities and successes in improving pedestrian experience in our communities. The Summit is designed to foster discussion and interaction between presenters and participants on a variety of topics, including the state’s Pedestrian Safety Action Plan, Student Neighborhood Access Program, safety education programs, engineering, design, health, and enforcement opportunities, among
