East of Washington: Re-Introducing the Trolley District- Ogden, Utah

  • Ogden's Union Station 2501 Wall Ave Ogden, UT, 84401 United States (map)

Many people are familiar with downtown Ogden and it’s rich railroad history, including the infamous 25th street, then and now a bustling hub of activity. But many people don’t realize the unique and vibrant neighborhood connecting to and from 25th Street as it travels east into Ogden’s original streetcar subdivision. Join us for an urban walk beginning at Historic Union Station along 25th, past historic businesses, hotels, homes, and community places. Some highlights along the walk will include the Historic Ben Lomond Hotel, the Art Deco Forest Service Building, a contemporary mixed and adaptive-re-use Weber Commons, the Mid-Century Modern Weber County Library, and especially the Jefferson Historic District (Ogden’s original millionaires row) filled with Victorian and arts & crafts mansions. See the exciting renewal happening in the neighborhood, and picture yourself living in this vibrant urban place!
