When is a walk more than a walk? Come with us and find out! Walkability is about health and fitness (Walk with a Doc and Every Body Walk!), urban planning and conversations (Jane Jacobs Walk) and road safety for everyone (Long Short Walk for Road Safety). This walk, on the day before UN Global Road Safety Week, will take us from historic Capitol Hill (Stanton Park, 4th & Massachusetts NE – meet at the statue!) to Constitution Gardens (Constitution Avenue and 17th Street, NW, along the northern edge of the National Mall) for free Yoga on the Mall! All are welcome – bikes, dogs, strollers, everyone! And remember, many of us are yoga novices. Come walk and talk about community, health, public health, transportation, gardens, cycling, kids, yoga, and more. www.mylongshortwalk www.everybodywalk.org
